The Barossa Valley has three main types of accomodation:
Hotels: In the Barossa Valley there are very few large hotels. Most hotels have only between three and ten rooms and are comparable to european inns. If you want to stay in a larger luxury hotel, the known hotel chains in Adelaide are best. Other than in overseas hotels, prices in Australia are paid as per room and not per person. Breakfast is often paid for separately. Single rooms are rarely available. Prices vary between 60 and 280 Euros per night per room, according to the standard.
Bed and Breakfast: Bed and Breakfast and B&B are mostly small inns, normally not including an own restaurant but offering breakfast according to the name. They range from simple two bed rooms with bathroom and shower over apartments with kitchen up to complete luxury flats with living room, various bedrooms and whirlpool. Prices according to size and standard vary between 60 and 200 Euros per night.
Self-Contained Apartments: These apartments normally offer the best low-price and most comfortable solution for groups of two to six persons. They always have a fully equipped kitchen, often a dishwasher and laundry machine as well as one or two bathrooms and bedrooms. According to the standard and size, prices vary between 70 and 200 Euros per night, although breakfast and room service is not included. However, the apartments are normally being cleaned once a week and fresh towels are provided.
Half- and Full pension are not usually available in Australia. Dinner can be taken in restaurants. Lunch (often referred to as "tea" in Australia) is available in some restaurants, cafés of bars. Dinner in a restaurant is relatively expensive (between 15 and 20 Euros per person). Groceries are available in various supermarkets, so if you have the installations to cook your own dinner, you can live for a lot less money.
